pos is a non-profit foundation, operated by a team of volunteers.

we operate by an ever-evolving project structure which supports creatives and enthusiasts to organise themselves. each project works with a transparent shared profit model. both contributing to a healthier cultural sector.

pos is located in the centrale markthal in amsterdam-west. this monumental building once played a key role in the city’s food distribution.

today, alongside many other initiatives in the markthal, we contribute to sharing space with the people of amsterdam-west and its surrounding neighbourhoods.

possibilities open studio is a community-run space. here, people are encouraged to learn from each other and pursue their dreams.

at pos, artistic learning takes many forms - making, listening, researching, voicing, questioning, and collaborating. the space encourages experimental engagements in an intimate setting.

pos facilitates the tools for a variety of disciplines, which translate into musical gatherings, workshops, exhibitions, pop-up restaurants, radio-making, dj & production sessions and more.

the studio is a place for shared learning and unlearning experiences.
